The Privacy Singularity is an independent publication launched in May 2026 in hopes to inform the public on the dangers of the digital age.
If you don't think privacy is important, just hear this:
what isn't illegal today very well could be illegal tomorrow. As DeFlock puts it, "As history has shown, when governments or third parties gain unchecked surveillance powers, they're eventually used against people who weren't doing anything wrong—until someone decided they were."
In this day in age, our governments, the public sector, are paying private companies to provide them data on their citizens. That means that there is a large hustle in collecting the data of as many people by any means necessary. Luckily for them, there are hardly any laws stopping them from collecting such data. Even better, many governments are conforming to the needs of the private sector and making it explicitly required to collect and log the data of civilians.
In this blog, I, Schmidty, will be telling you all about why this is becoming an even bigger problem in the non-private digital age. I will discuss companies like Palantir, Flock, Persona, Meta, and Google, among many others. I hope you all join me and, hopefully, others in stopping the growing wealth of data.
